I always have taken my 2009 Nissan Rogue to the dealership for service/repairs. I had to get some work done to my car so being new to this area I looked on line for the reviews. I called a few auto repair shops nearby and TLC replied immediately to my email request. Their response to me was quick, respectful and professional. I went to their shop for an estimate and once again treated with the utmost respect and service. I decided to let them give me an estimate that day, they provided me with a loaner car and called me as soon as they had the estimate completed. I saved a lot of money and more than anything I feel I can trust this shop. I will recommend TLC to everyone. Thanks TLC

I called Owen to try and schedule a last minute buyer's inspection for a van I was hearing mixed things about (from another mechanic vs a dealer). He didn't have the time to do an inspection, but he spent time on the phone explaining to me what he thought was happening in the deal, and what his opinion on the van was. I was floored that he even took the time to talk to me and his advice was excellent. Thanks Owen!

My experience at TLC Automotive was very pleasant. I went in for a repair and found out my car didn’t have the issue I though it did. TLC used excellent trouble shooting skills to diagnose the problem and let me know exactly what was needed. This was all done without a severe hit to my wallet. I will defiantly be going back for future service.L Randle

I've gone to TLC ever since moving to the eastside years ago. Andy is honest, fair, reliable and trustworthy. Thats about the full book in my mind when I look for a repair service.

TLC Auto is my trusted place to go to get my cars repaired. They are always polite and helpful. Andy remembers me after just a couple of visits and treats me like a real person. They explain everything they find that needs done on the vehicle and are very willing to answer questions and go as deep into the repair explanation as you want. I'm curious about repairs done to my vehicle so I ask a lot of questions and never get my questions adequately answered anywhere except here at TLC Auto.Their prices have not always been the lowest but the feeling of trust I have that they will get it done right the first time and aren't telling me to do things I don't need done is worth a few extra dollars. My most recent car repair from TLC had me driving away feeling like I was in a brand-new car. What a difference! Thank you so much, Andy and crew for your excellent service!

So far I am very impressed. I brought my car in for a diagnosis and, instead of a giant bill, I was informed of the upcoming services my car will eventually need so that I can plan my finances accordingly. HOW REFRESHING! Honda of Kirkland would have charged me $100+ simply for diagnosis time, then they would have listed a few things that I need to have repaired immediately. Instead, Owen explained everything to me, educated me, told me to replace my serpentine belt at my next LOF. They didn't charge me a cent that day. They claim to be an auto care company with integrity and so far I believe it. I've been searching for this for A WHILE! Furthermore, I like that they have an extensive customer care program, free loaners, and their prices are generally lower than at the dealership.

I have been going to TLC auto since before they were TLC. They started out in the Chevron station in Totem Lake. (ANDY refuses to tell me whether TLC stands for Totem Lake Chevron or Tender Loving Care,) I have referred several friends to them and all of them have been impressed with TLC. I have gone in several times and Andy has talked me out of doing the work I wanted done.

This review is long overdue, but after a recent experience my boyfriend and I had with another shop, I felt it worth writing to express my gratitude at how good this shop is. When I first took my car to TLC I had just purchased a used Jetta. As I didn't have complete records on the car and it was slightly above the 90k mile mark where a new timing belt would be required, I took it in proactively to have the belt replaced. I don't remember the exact quote ($5-600?), but TLC was well within the price range that I had been quoted by others. An hour or so after I took the car in, I was called by Andy who stated that there was writing on the water reservoir that suggested the timing belt and water pump had already been changed. As a result, they wanted me to further investigate to determine whether or not the work was actually necessary. I did some further investigation and it turns out the belt and water pump had been replaced about 5,000 miles previously. Effectively, Andy talked the shop out of about $5-600 of work that I would have happily paid not knowing any different. That is the serious honesty that very few shops have even if they are generally good otherwise. It is this type of service that sets TLC apart from others. I subsequently had some other work done on the same car with TLC that was always performed on time and always within the quote, but as with older cars sometimes it is time to let them go so I replaced it. I will say without a doubt that when the service warranty runs out on my new car I will be headed back to TLC should I ever have an issue.

I have been a TLC for about twenty years.I don't know how you could find a better place to get reliable, honest, professional service on your vehicle. Andy and his staff our very conscientious of your needs to keep your vehicle perform optimally at fair prices. One never needs to worry about being taken advantage of with unnecessary repairs and service.

Andy and his crew kept my Subaru running for 5 years, until I sold it when it was 17 years old. They are always honest, the prices are great and it's a pleasure doing business with them. I've overheard Andy tell other customers that it was time for them to replace their car, that he didn't want them to keep putting money into it. What other mechanics do this?I've already taken my replacement car to them. I couldn't be more satisfied.
